For families and caregivers

You're doing the research at midnight. Let us do it instead.

Many of the people who text us are sons, daughters, spouses, and neighbors. You know what your parent needs. We know which county runs the ride program, which agencies take Medicaid, and what the coverage rule actually says.

Two ways to use GrandLine

  1. Sign up for them, text us yourself. Choose "someone else" on the signup form and enter their details with your phone number. You'll be the one texting with us.
  2. Sign them up, let them text. Enter their phone number and share the number we give you. They text at their own pace; you can text us separately whenever you want.

What families ask us most

  • "Mom was discharged with no home care arranged. Who do I call?"
  • "Dad's Medicare Advantage plan says his wheelchair isn't covered. Is that right?"
  • "Can I get paid to be my wife's caregiver?"
  • "Is there a dementia-friendly day program near her?"
  • "How do I find a psychiatrist who takes Medicare and is taking new patients?"

A note on privacy

We keep signups simple on purpose: name, date of birth, state, and what you need. We don't ask for a Medicare number unless a specific coverage question requires it, and we never ask for a Social Security number. If your loved one qualifies for a care advocacy program covered by Medicare, we'll explain what that involves before anything else happens.

Start with the question that's keeping you up.

Sign up on their behalf or your own. Either way, the first answer is a few minutes away.
